When a tracked provider changes its pricing, we log it here with the date and the source URL we pulled it from. No silent edits.
This page is about what vendors changed. When this site got something wrong, that is a different thing and it goes in the corrections log, which records what was published, what it says now, and which direction the error ran in. Keeping them apart matters: a mistake of ours is not a vendor price change.
Structure change
Zamp
Zamp renamed its third tier from 'Global Plan' to 'U.S. + Canada', which narrows the published scope: there is no globally-scoped plan purchasable on the pricing page. Still no dollar amounts for either paid tier, so both range estimates stay at their existing confidence (C for U.S., G for the Canada tier) and remain estimates rather than quotes. No new buyer data surfaced to tighten them: Vendr carries no ACV data for Zamp, G2 records that Zamp has not listed pricing, and checkthat.ai returns 404. Corporate event added: Zamp raised new funding in late April 2026, reported as $17M new by Axios and as $30M total led by Acrew Capital with Thomson Reuters Ventures participating by fintech.global. The two figures could not be reconciled, so neither is published as fact here. Zamp also launched 'Zamp OS' positioning and an accounting-firm channel.

TaxJar
Re-verified against the pricing page and the help-center article (updated 2026-06-12). No price changed: all 34 order-tier values across both ladders match, AutoFile stays at $50 Starter and $55 Professional, registration stays at $299, and the included 2/yr and 4/yr credits are unchanged. So there has been no second increase since February 2026. Two data corrections. A third 'Premium' plan recorded here as quote-only was removed; it appears on no current TaxJar page, and both the pricing page and the help-center article describe exactly two plans while publishing the full ladder for each through 10M orders/month. And the annual-subscriber filing bundles, previously noted as published but not modeled, are now captured and used: Starter 25/50/100/unlimited at $1,125/$2,225/$4,500/$10,000 and Professional at $1,250/$2,500/$5,000/$12,000. The calculator now takes the cheaper of pay-as-you-go or the best-fit bundle on annual billing, which lowers TaxJar's modeled cost at high filing counts where we were previously overstating it. Separately, no evidence was found that TaxJar is being sunset for Stripe Tax; TaxJar's own May 2026 post positions it as the US filing partner built into Stripe Tax and describes continued investment.

Re-verified against the live pricing page and help center; four corrections, three of which made our own listing less favorable. (1) The Free plan has been removed. TaxCloud's pricing page renders two plans, the FAQ states accounts are paused after the 30-day trial until a paid plan is chosen, and the help-center article documenting the Free plan now returns 404. (2) Both order ladders replaced. Live Starter is 8 tiers ($19/$29/$49/$89/$129/$179/$249/$349 monthly) topping out at 20,000 orders/month, not the 9 tiers ending at $625/mo and $6,299/yr we had recorded; five mid-ladder values were also wrong. Live Premium is 8 tiers starting at 200 orders/month, not 9 starting with a duplicated $79 entry, with six mid-ladder values corrected. (3) The pay-as-you-go filing fee is $45, not $39. We had conflated it with the $39/month entry price of the filing subscription; both are now recorded separately. (4) SST free filing is confirmed available on every plan, not gated to Premium. The help-center filing-fee article reads as though it is Premium-only; that article is out of step with the product and has been flagged for correction rather than treated as the source of truth. Filing tier pricing was re-checked and all nine values are unchanged.

Sphere
Sphere added a second tier. The Starter plan is now published as covering fewer than 10 regions, and customers at 10 or more regions are routed to a new quote-only Growth tier that adds a dedicated account manager, tax team on demand, and 24/7 Slack support. The $100 per region per month headline rate is unchanged. Two corrections followed: transparency moved from transparent to partial, since Sphere no longer publishes a price for every customer it serves, and the $1,200 annual price recorded here was removed because Sphere publishes no annual rate. That figure was our own 12x derivation carrying a confidence-A rating, which overstated its sourcing. Company context also added: $21M Series A led by a16z, announced 2025-11-18, which predates our previous verification but was not captured.

Numeral
Numeral renamed its plans. The live pricing page uses Monitoring, Professional and Enterprise; the Free / Standard / Pro names recorded here appear nowhere on it. No price changed: the free monitoring tier, $75 per filing and $150 per state registration are all unchanged, and the top tier is still quote-only. Two published details we were missing are now captured: exemption certificate management is free for the first 50 certificates, and international VAT/GST coverage across 70+ countries plus tax-engine API access are Enterprise-gated at custom pricing. Note that third-party write-ups, including one updated 2026-07-09, still use the old Standard and Pro labels, so the rename looks recent.

Kintsugi
No price changed: the free tier, the $75 per filing or registration rate, and the quote-only Premium tier are all unchanged. Three data corrections. The no-fee language we quoted ('No onboarding fees. No implementation fees. No annual commitments. Ever.') is no longer on the page; the current wording is 'No onboarding fees. No transaction fees, we don't penalize you for growth. No long-term contract lock-in.' Same promise, different words, and we were presenting it as a verbatim quote. The widely repeated claim that Vertex holds a 10% stake is downgraded to unverified, since Vertex's own release describes a strategic investment without disclosing a percentage and no primary source confirms the figure. And 'Kintsugi powered by Vertex', a joint AI tax automation product for SMBs announced 2025-10-08, was missing from our record entirely. Also captured: Premium gates multi-country compliance across 100+ countries, and Kintsugi now names two AI products on the pricing page, the in-app assistant 'Kin' (available from the free tier) and 'Kintsugi Intelligence'. Neither is separately priced. Note that a third-party pricing write-up updated 2026-08-14 still reports Premium at $500/month for up to seven states; that remains anecdotal and is not confirmed by Kintsugi.

Avalara
Adversarial re-verification of the 2026-07-30 pricing change, after the single-source finding was challenged. The numbers held across six independent reads and are echoed off-Avalara by G2 (pricing data stamped 2026-08-07) and TrustRadius, and the $699 anchor appears on roughly eleven Avalara-owned pages linked from the main pricing hub, so this is a site-wide rollout rather than an orphaned page. Three corrections came out of it. First, the $50M revenue line is a plan-card label, not stated exclusion language; the binding constraint is the integration list, since both Core plans are labeled 'LIMITED INTEGRATIONS' and support 15 named connectors with no ERP, making every NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or Acumatica buyer quote-only at any revenue. Second, the $69 SST rate is not a blended rate across a buyer's footprint: Avalara states that state-funded services apply only to SST-eligible transactions in participating states for qualifying volunteer sellers, and that standard pricing applies everywhere else, so the calculator now bills SST states at the SST rate and all other filing states at the standard rate. Third, Avalara's marketed 'up to 25 states' is the 24 SST member states plus Pennsylvania, which Avalara itself describes as an analogous program rather than SST membership. Also noted: this is a list price rather than a transactable one, since every plan CTA is a sales contact form, and no press release, blog post or third-party article covers the change at all.

Avalara
Avalara published per-state list pricing for its core compliance bundle for the first time, on a new plan comparison page. Core Compliance is $79 per state per month or $799 per state per year; Core Compliance + SST Services is $69 per state per month or $699 per state per year; both are limited to sellers under $50M in annual revenue, above which pricing remains quote-only. Core Compliance bundles AvaTax, AvaTax Exemptions, Managed Returns, compliance support and audit readiness, integrations, and 50-state nexus monitoring. Two things are notable beyond the numbers. Avalara has priced its SST plan BELOW its standard plan, treating state-funded CSP economics as a customer-facing discount rather than absorbing it as margin, and this is the first public dollar figure anyone in the category has attached to SST. Dating: Wayback snapshots of the main pricing page on 2026-03-10, 2026-04-18 and 2026-07-23 show only the $119 and $403 figures, and the new plan page carries a dateModified of 2026-08-17, so the change is at most a few weeks old. Transparency tier moved from opaque to partial as a result.

Anrok
Anrok replaced subscription-plus-basis-points pricing with a flat fee per market per month. Starter is $100 per market per month for non-ecommerce companies and $50 per market per month on a new ecommerce product line. The $499/mo Starter and $999/mo Core plans no longer exist, the 40 bps and 30 bps transaction fees are gone from the pricing page entirely, the Growth tier is renamed Custom, and the published <$2M ARR guidance for Starter has been removed. Anrok now publishes a unit definition for a market (each US state, EU via OSS as one, Canada federal GST/HST as one with BC, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Quebec separate). New disclosure: high-volume Starter sellers may be charged unquantified third-party fees. Anrok did not announce the change and its pricing page carries no last-updated date, so the exact date it took effect is unknown; it falls between our 2026-05-11 verification and 2026-08-18.

Extended order-tier ladder from 8 tiers (capping at 50K orders/mo) to 17 tiers (capping at 10M orders/mo) on both Starter and Professional, sourced from the TaxJar help center pricing article (updated 2026-05-07). Previously, any customer above 50K monthly orders was being pinned to the 50K tier, a material understatement at upper mid-market and enterprise volumes. The new tiers are 75K, 100K, 250K, 500K, 1M, 2.5M, 5M, 7.5M, 10M. Filing bundle pricing for annual subscribers (e.g., 25/50/100/unlimited filings flat-rate) is published but not yet modeled, calculator continues to use per-filing × volume.

Initial addition of Zamp to the tracked provider set. Free tier captured from Zamp's published pricing page (confidence A). U.S. Plan and Global Plan ranges estimated from aggregator commentary and third-party comparison pages, neither tier has published dollar amounts on Zamp's site.

Verified the full order-tier ladder for both Starter and Professional plans against TaxJar's authenticated customer portal. Previously the YAML captured only the entry tier per plan plus Professional 1k from competitor blog data, calculator was therefore using the cheapest tier for any customer above the captured volume (a material underestimate). Eight tiers per plan are now populated with both monthly and annual prices. Source confidence on Professional 1k upgraded D → A. Grandfathering note captured: customers on legacy pricing keep their rates; tier changes re-price to current ladder.

Captured full TaxCloud pricing ladders from internal pricing table. Subscription: 9-tier Starter ($199-$6,299/yr) and 9-tier Premium ($799-$12,999/yr) covering 100-40,000 monthly orders. Filings: 9-tier annual subscription ($399 at 12 filings/yr through $11,999 at 600 filings/yr) replacing the per-filing × volume model. Annual prepay discount corrected from ~10% to ~16% across all tiers. Per-filing rate ($39 base) retained as informational; calculator now uses tier_pricing when present.

Verified Anrok pricing against the published pricing sheet (mirrored on G2). Three corrections: Starter ICP is <$2M ARR (we had <$5M), exemption certificates are included in Starter (we had it gated to Core+), and no explicit ARR range is published for Core or Growth (we had inferred $5M-$50M and $50M+).
